Niagara Falls - the final cut

Seven times I visited the Falls in ten months. And every time there was something new to discover. However, I think I have seen my fill by now.

OK- this is not Niagara Falls. It is a depiction of Terry Fox, national treasure, chalk-arted at Wortley Village Expressions in Chalk. We just managed to see the final results when we returned from Niagara Falls.

Horseshoe Falls, as pretty as always.

We arrived early and still had fairly good views of the water.

I like these Falls, and have watched the waters slipping by for quite a while over the year.

American Falls - perhaps I underrated these in the past.

On this occasion, A. finally took a ride on the Maid.

Boarding the vessel.

Getting a bit damp at the American Falls.

Returning home - wet despite the raincoat.

Over on the Rainbow Bridge. We still had some US visas to return.

Busy as usual later on in the day.

The Gorge: still wild and impressive.

A nature trail down to the water. Free of charge and rather steep. It does not lead to the rapids, though, only to the big whirlpool which lies beyond the rapids.

Cable car over the whirlpool - Niagara Parks has got this sorted. Every inch of the water can be surveyed.

While our visitor explored the Gorge, I returned to the Botanical Gardens to view their late summer bedding.

Cheap, cheerful and effective: Swiss Chard, Tagetes, Kale and Basil

Sunny and simple - Rudbeckia planted en masse.
