Those friends with the canoe and another friend with her family and all of our household set out on the perfect trip to the beach at Lake Huron. It was stunning. The beach sandy and clean. The other bathers courteous and friendly. The water warm, shallow and visibly clean (perhaps). The picnic - extraordinary. The canoe a real bonus on the water, with enough time for everyone to have a go and to get a good feel for paddling solo. The games of Frisbee, the swimming, the sandcastle building - ideal in every way.
