Looking skywards

During these clear and short nights it pays to look towards the sky sometimes.

Watching Saturn, small and far away - but with rings -  on 10th July 2010 at Hume Cronyn Observatory.

During the day, the sky is fabulous, too. Canada is after all the land of the 'Large Sky'. The sky sits like a giant bowl over the land and the horizons are far away.

Hot air balloons floating by on 10th July, and on many other days that month.

Gibbous moon on 30th July.

One of the many household items I had to part with. I loved it while I had it.
