Farewell

Here is me with "Oh Canada" in my ear (Ohrwurm, as they say). From not recognising the National Anthem to being beleaguered by the tune, it's quite a change!

The people of Canada have been great to us. Within a short few weeks of our arrival we had made new friends. Everyone I asked for assistance stepped up to the occasion: friends lent us the heaters, the bicycle, the radio, gave hints & tips and advice; were company and soul mates.

I tried all the different varieties of Tim Hortons' donuts. We visited more of Canada than many a Canadian. I explored London to some fine detail - and there would have been still more. Even as we leave I am hearing of more wondrous things to do in this town.

I adored the library. I loved the music and dance. I will forever remember the winter and the summer - they were the genuine article here.
